RESEARCH FOR RETURN ON INVESTMENT

Our approach to research is driven by our primary goal of meeting your business needs while observing the most rigorous scientific protocols.  Once we have clearly defined your business imperatives, we design strategic, scientifically sound studies that will yield meaningful, actionable results.  We are skilled at matching or developing the most appropriate research tools with your business questions and budget at the forefront, maintaining exacting standards of scientific integrity.

Customized Studies

We recognize that your research needs may not fall neatly into a specific category. Our broad expertise means we can develop highly targeted studies that answer questions important to you.  We can craft observational studies, CME tests, program evaluation research, one-time physician surveys, focus groups and other innovative approaches to precisely meet the client and industry needs.

Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER)

Our CER studies emphasize and improve the dual guiding objectives of good health care and good business: cost benefit and clinical comparative effectiveness. Ours is a boutique approach because one-size-fits-all is not the most appropriate measure of treating targeted health concerns.  Health Analytics develops the metrics that assess the comparative value of a product or service.  Our studies also yield quality improvement data that we translate into business intelligence and direction for managed care, manufacturers, physicians and payors.

Quality Improvement Activities (QIA) and Assessments

Quality of care remains a pressing concern for all health care constituents, from patients and government agencies to physicians and managed care organizations, a concern balanced by an equally urgent need to manage costs.  Health Analytics performs QIA projects within real-world settings that demonstrate improvements in clinical outcomes and care of patients, decreasing the cost of care while holding quality static, or improving quality of care while decreasing overall cost.

Economic Modeling

With most new therapeutics, the question arises, "Is this therapeutic better or just different?"  In modern medicine, there are two components to quality health care, improved health outcomes and efficiency.  Health Analytics' economic modeling research is designed to answer key questions such as:

  • Does this new therapeutic allow physicians to treat greater numbers of patients?
  • Is the therapeutic less expensive, allowing more people to be treated for less money?

Clinical Trials: Late-Phase and After-Market

Clinical trials are among the most expensive, yet essential, forms of research.  Health Analytics' combined resources means that we can custom design and manage after-market clinical trials on health improvement, disease management, and other many other clinical interventions.  Our trials of existing medications and devices answer key questions such as, "Is this medication and device more effective in combination with a disease management protocol?"  We then translate our findings into action steps that can improve product performance and clinical outcomes.

Systematic Literature Review

Literature review is not only an intergral part of many research initiatives, it can often serve as a valuable tool in and of itself, allowing us to collect and evaluate existing research, identify correlations with your business question or detect knowledge gaps we can strategically fill.
